The Butch T Trinidad Scorpion was the world's hottest chilli from 2011 to 2013, measuring in at 1,463,700 Scoville heat units.
Their characteristic shape sees a 5cm pendant, which tapers to a sharp point resembling its namesake - a scorpion tail.
